Vanishing bees

Topic: 5B Life cycles

All over America beekeepers are opening their beehives for the spring pollination season to find that their bees have either died or disappeared. The bees are vital for farmers who rely on the bees to pollinate their crops. No pollination, no crops. An emergency group has come together to try and work out what is going on. This situation is now happening in the UK. In this activity children will investigate the possible causes of the vanishing bees. They will present their findings to the rest of the class in a role-play situation.
