Bone Detectives

Topic: Identifying and Classifying

Jake McGowen-Lowe is a teenage bone collector from Scotland. He has been collecting skulls and bones since he was six. He has recently been interviewed about his hobby on BBC Newsround. Jake's love of nature and his skills as a science communicator have also placed him in the BBC Wildlife Magazine's Wildlife Power list.

During this series of activities children will become Bone Detectives, looking closely at two skulls to see what they tell them about animals in terms of their place on the food chain and their diet.
